Best Wineries in Niagara on the Lake
1. Chateau des Charmes
Chateau des Charmes is a picturesque winery that I especially love for weddings. They even a have a package you can book for proposals. My picks are their Pinot Noir and Gamy Noir.
2. Konzelmann Estate Winery
Konzelmann is one of my favorite wineries in the region. The property is gorgeous with views of Lake Ontario in the distance and they have an enclosed patio. My favorite bottle is their Peach Wine. It is on the sweeter side but a great summer drink. Confession: I’ve ordered from Konzelmann at least three times during COVID-19.

3. Jackson-Triggs Niagara Estate
Jackson-Triggs is a popular winery in Niagara on the Lake. It offer public tours and tastings. However, my favorite to-do is their outdoor concerts in the summer. They are currently on hold due to COVID-19, but usually this is a Saturday night with some great Canadian talent.
4. Peller Estates Winery
Peller Estates is one of the larger wineries in Niagara on the Lake and an absolute must visit. The property is gorgeous and great for large groups. Take a private or public wine tour for some behind-the-scenes fun. They offer daily wine tastings ($10CAD for three samples). And on Saturdays, “Perfect Pairings” is a new experience where four decadent food items are paired with wine. (They did have a pretty awesome chocolate pairing experience in the past, but looks like that is discontinued). And Peller has a restaurant on-site that overlooks their large vineyard.

5. Pondview Winery
If I had to pick one winery in Niagara on the Lake, it would be Pondview. It is small but has a nice selection of product. I’m a fan of their Bella Terra Sparkling Brut. Moreover, the service is always stellar. AND they have wine slushies in the summer. I repeat, wine slushies.
6. Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery
Another picturesque winery in NOTL is Ravine. It is known for its farm dining restaurant that overlooks their vineyard. The food is delicious and as for wine, my pick is their Gewurztraminer. And it’s another great location for weddings.

NOTL is overall a safe town. Be mindful driving throughout it, especially in the winter. If you are visiting as part of a larger Niagara Falls or Ontario trip, then I do advocate for travel insurance. If applicable to you, check with your employee benefits to see if you are covered. Otherwise, I like World Nomads as it’s quite reputable and provides 24-hour assistance.

I loved visiting Niagara on the Lake but missed all these wonderful wineries?? Since my trip I’ve always wanted to try the ice wine as it sounds amazing! Thanks for sharing….
I’ve driven through this region so many times on my way to the Falls, and was always amazed at how many vineyards there were. Next time I’ll have to make sure that I stop at at least one of them!
I’ve been to NOTL once but didn’t get to explore any of the wineries! I definitely need to go back and check some of these out, especially Pondview – I definitely prefer smaller wineries!
I love a good winery and these ones sound just fantastic! Ravine really captured my interest – those drinks look so yummy!
