Best Ice Cream in Toronto
1. Bang Bang Ice Cream & Bakery
Bang Bang Ice Cream & Bakery (93A Ossington Ave, Toronto, ON M6J 2Z2) is located on Ossington Avenue between Queen and Dundas. This spot is one of Toronto’s favorites for ice cream. Line ups can get long on weekends and hot weekday evenings, but Bang Bang is definitely worth the wait. Ice cream sandwiched between a freshly baked cookies is the must-try here and they have pints to-go as well. (My personal fave is the Burnt Toffee!)
2. Eva’s Original Chimneys
Eva’s Original Chimneys (454 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5S 1X8) is located in the heart Downtown Toronto’s Annex neighborhood. (They also have a second location in Port Credit Mississauga). Eva’s is known for serving up ice cream in chimney cones. Firstly, if you haven’t had a chimney cone before, it is a Hungarian hand-rolled pastry. It is delicious! At Eva’s, you can customize your cone with your choice of soft serve, a variety of toppings, and different sauces.

3. Fugo Desserts
FUGO Desserts (265 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M5V 1Z4) is located in the heart of Downtown Toronto (right by St. Patrick’s subway station). This is a great local ice cream shop but they are know for their mini donuts as well. They only serve up three specialty ice creams: Cookie Monster, Smores, and Cookies N’ Cream. All three are worth trying!
4. iHalo Krunch
ihalo krunch 831 Queen St W is located in the trendy West Queen West neighborhood. They also have a new location by High Park. They serve up non-traditional soft serve in incredible flavors: ube, matcha, vanilla bean, and charcoal. You can even combine flavors for a delicious twist.

5. Ice Cream by Nadege
Ice Cream by Nadege (780 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M6J 2R5) is ice cream served up by one of Toronto’s best French bakeries. Their ice cream shop is located just past their Queen West bakery behind the patio. They serve up ice cream in cones/cups, ice cream cookies sandwiches, and ice cream bars. You can even get mini macaron shells topped on your ice cream!
6. Pandoughra’s Box
Pandoughra’s Box (28 Bathurst Street, Toronto, Canada, MV50C6) is located in Stackt Market. Hands down, one of the best ice cream shops in Toronto! Their flavours are incredible and include rose lychee, saffron pistachio, cinnamon toast crunch and more. The shop also also edible cookie dough and incredible stuffed cookies. (Psst, they allow you to combine a scoop of cookie dough with a scoop of ice cream!). And finally, you can pick up alcohol infused ice cream pints such as Whisky Salted Caramel, Red Velvet Martini, and more.

7. The Fix
The Fix Ice Cream Bar (207 Queens Quay W, Toronto, ON M5J 1A7) is located in the heart of Toronto’s Harbourfront. The ice cream shop located next to Joe Bird has some incredible signature ice cream creations. My favorite is their Campfire which includes double chocolate ice cream, a burnt marshmallow, and caramel bits.
8. Tom’s Dairy Freeze
Tom’s Dairy Freeze (630 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M8Y 1K5) is a neighborhood staple in Etobicoke (the west end of Toronto). Their ice cream menu is massive and include soft serve with flavor bursts, dipped cones, and specialty sundaes. Heads up, you order from their walk-up window.

Toronto is overall a safe city, but like any major city, you should always be mindful. Use your common street smarts. If you are traveling to it, I do advocate for travel insurance. If applicable to you, check with your employee benefits to see if you are covered. Otherwise, I like World Nomads as it’s quite reputable and provides 24-hour assistance.
