THE PALACE
Palace Tutorial
One of the most popular palaces is AvatarPalace.
Depending on where you have downloaded the Palace, you may be
directly connected to it. Otherwise, to connect click on the
"Connect to a Palace" button on your toolbar
and enter: avatarpalace.net PORT 9998
The screen will appear as below
Follow along with the numbers to learn how AvatarPalace works
1. This provides links to other palaces.
Many palaces provide dolls and props, which you may be interested in.
(Note: Some palaces contain adult content).
2. This is a good start to get dolls. Once you click Prop Rooms, you
will notice a similar screen appear. This is the Prop Menu.
Simply click on the type of doll you want.
3. If you need some help, this is the place to turn.
4. This will take you to rooms where you can chat with other people.
(You may want to enable "Show Names" if it is not already enabled).
5. Lockables are rooms which allow you to keep the room locked so no other
users can enter.They can be used for various things. If you want a place to
pratice something, chat privately with another user or organize your props, lockables are a good place to turn.
6. Basically this is a place where you can chat with others and drop props.
7. This is a place where you can drop props for others to copy.
8. If you're bored or feel like playing a game, this is the place to turn.
9. This is where you can edit your props or make dolls.
All edit rooms on AvatarPalace are lockable
10. This is where you can take the avatars of others. If you see a user with a
doll you want, simply whisper 'take and you will then be wearing the same
doll as them. (If you do not want others to take the doll you are wearing,
then do not enter Take Av Rooms).
11. This is where you can enter your text to chat with others.
12. This is your prop bag. It saves all of your props.
13. This is the trash can. If you are wearing a prop, you can use your
mouse to drag it into the trash.
Prop Bag
This is where all your props are saved.
Follow along with the numbers to learn the prop bag options
1. Wear the prop you click
2. Create a new prop.
3. Edit the prop you click
4. save the avatar you are wearing
5. Duplicate the prop you click
6. Delete the prop from your bag
(You will not be able to retrieve it once deleted)
7. Turns you back into
the default smiley face
8. Closes your prop bag
