This tutorial will explain how to lighten images.
I will be using the following image below as an example.
*My image is not the greatest. It was made quickly to be used as an example. However it is workable to use in this tutorial*
1. Copy the image above and paste it into PSP.
2. Click on the Selection tool
and use your mouse to select the area of the image you would like to lighten. In my example I have chosen to lighten the centre of the image in a rectangle.
3. Click on the Retouch tool.
Make sure your Tools Option screen is open.
Change the settings of the screen to match the following:
4. On the Tools Options screen click on the button circled below.
Change the settings of the screen to match.
5. Click back on your image and use your mouse to go over the area you had previously selected in Step 2.
You will notice the area becoming lighter.
Continue moving your mouse over until you are satisfied with the lightening.
In my example I have lightly gone over the selected area 6-7 times.
6. In order to add text, first press CTRL + D to unselect the area.
7. Click the Text tool and add whatever text you like.
In my example I have used the font Porkys.
